By becoming a Trustee, you will make a positive difference to children and parents’ lives and gain many valuable experiences along the way.

Home-Start Kirklees is an established family support charity based in Kirklees. We support hundreds of families every year, helping them to improve family life through targeted group support sessions and one to one support remotely or in the home. We work closely with health colleagues, social care, families together and the voluntary, community sector.

Expanding our board

We are currently looking to expand our Board of Trustees. A trustee is a volunteer who shares responsibility for ensuring Home-Start Kirklees is governed well, working effectively and within charity law. We are keen to have a diverse range of skills and outlooks on the Board and welcome interest from people of all ages, backgrounds, and communities (aged 18 and above). You will be supported as you go along and learn more about the role over time.
