Last week we held our AGM which was a great success. Thank you to everyone who came along. As well as the formal AGM business we had invited speakers – Cheryl Beirne From the Family Nurse Partnership gave a talk about how the FNP work aligns with what Home-Start do, as well as a fun activity highlighting bonding and trust. We also heard from two former supported parents who both gave touching & eloquent accounts about how Home-Start support had changed their lives and their hopes for the future.
Sadly we also said goodbye to longstanding trustee Anna Logue who has resigned from the Trustee board. Anna was instrumental in setting up the charity 19 years ago and has been a Trustee, Chair of Trustees, Vice Chair as well as Chair of our fundraising and HR sub-groups since then. Anna has been a dedicated and much respected Trustee who has been phenomenal with her fundraising efforts. We give huge thanks to Anna and will miss her very much. We also said goodbye to Brenda Vale, who has been a longstanding volunteer for 14 years and is now stepping down. Brenda has been involved in our young parents groups for many years and will be missed by staff and parents alike.
