We are currently recruiting for:
37 hours per week – annual salary scale SCP 14 – 20 (£22,462 – £25,295 pro rata, increasing to SCP 15 £22,911 at the end of a satisfactory probationary period)
We have one vacant post available for a Group Co-ordinator, who will assist in assessing the needs of families, recruiting, training, supporting and supervising volunteers and peer educators. The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and running of young parent’s group sessions within Kirklees. The post holder will deliver user friendly sessions within groups and be competent in assisting attendees in addressing some of the issues young parents face. The post holder will also assist in the delivery of the volunteer preparation course and will need to liaise closely with various statutory and voluntary organisations. Some evening and weekend work may be required. The Group Co-ordinator will report to the senior members of staff.
Essential requirements include:
- Experience of caring for young children
- Experience of working with families and/or volunteers
- Ability to deliver presentations, training and support to volunteers
- Ability to work as part of a team with supervisory support
- Understand confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace
- Car driver/owner (expenses will be paid)
- Experience of working with vulnerable groups and ensuring safeguarding practice is embedded and adhered to
